Sky Sports Germany has provided a fresh update on Jarell Quansah and his reported move to Bayer Leverkusen.

With Liverpool very active in the transfer market, it is expected that there will be constant news on the Reds’ transfer activities.

The club have already announced three signings and there is a strong indication that the fourth will follow in the coming days.

However, the club are not only working on new signings.

According to The Athletic, the transfer of the centre-back has been processed for a fee around £3million ($4m), inclusive of add-ons.

Another defender who is set for a summer exit is Jarell Quansah.

Arme Slot has sanctioned the 22-year-old’s permanent transfer to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in a deal that will reportedly guarantee the Reds an initial €30 million fee plus up to €5 million in add-ons.

Any funds received for the academy graduate are registered as pure profit under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Earlier on Monday, German publication BILD reported that Liverpool had secured a structured buy-back clause that could see Quansah return to Anfield in future.

According to the report, the buy-back clause value is worth in excess of €60m.

The German outlet added that the ‘holding power of the future’ of a homegrown player was particularly important for the Reds.

However, Sky Germany has provided a new conflicting report on the release clause.

According to the report, Quansah’s buy-black is approximately €40 million against the €60m quoted by BILD.

“Jarell Quansah is on the verge of a move from Liverpool FC to Bayer Leverkusen,” the report said.

“A full agreement with Leverkusen on a contract until 2030 has been reached.

The transfer fee is €30 million plus bonuses.

The transfer will increase after the U21 European Championship?

Interestingly, Liverpool has secured a buy-back option of approximately €40 million.”

Although Quansah is currently competing at the U21 European Championships, he has already given his approval for the move.
